Since our products are derived from natural sources and break down over time, we kickstart the natural recovery process without introducing pollutants or permanent materials like plastics or concrete. We use our products in nature-based solutions to address challenges such as protecting coastlines, preventing erosion, and stabilizing riverbanks.
BESE-elements
Our most popular product, the BESE-elements, is a lattice structure made from potato starch that proves effective in various ecosystems. It’s particularly useful for stabilizing the ground and providing stability for plants or reef-building organisms to gradually take over the stabilizing role as the BESE-elements naturally breakdown.
More BESE-products
We’ve also developed specific products for particular situations, such as the BESE-mesh biopolymer designed for oyster shells and coral rubble stabilization, BESE-reef paste for aiding the settlement of European Flat Oyster larvae, and BESE-mesh cellulose, a rapidly biodegrading product for transplanting aquatic vegetation.
