BESE-mesh cellulose is the fast degradable mesh. The mesh is made of cellulose from 100% (beech)wood of thinning EU forest. The main application is in submerged aquatic vegetation, where the mesh is filled up with aquatic vegetation and fastened to bottom of the lake/river to act as a grow-out bag.

Certified according TÜV AUSTRIA OK Home compost. Contains no petrochemical or metallic substances.
BIODEGRADABILITY
Biodegradability depends on environmental conditions and usage. About 1-3 months in the intertidal zone (faster in warmer waters). A with oak resin coated version is available to provide a longer lifespan.

Temporary restoration material

If you need a material to temporarily keep restoration material in place, like vegetation, shells or soil. BESE-mesh cellulose could be a solution. It is a fast degrading mesh which can help putting material on the sea floor or riverbank, after the material is placed the mesh starts degrading and is not visible anymore after circa 3 months.

Current application

Currently BESE-mesh cellulose is used in the restoration of submerged aquatic vegetation. Where the mesh is filled with aquatic plants and placed on the bottom of the riverbank, where it acts as a grow-out bag. It allows the aquatic vegetation to take root, without being washed out, and degrades afterwards (1-3 months).
