We had the chance to study the restoration of intertidal musselbeds using life cycle informed restoration near Griend in the Dutch Wadden Sea. We enhanced reef formation by 1) providing settlement substrate and subsequently 2) reducing post-settlement predation. In this paper, we detail on successes and future challenges.
